Как узнать, может ли телевизор воспроизвести MKV файл?

На сегодняшний день не все модели Smart TV телевизоров имеют возможность без дополнительного вмешательства воспроизводить формат MKV. Причиной этому чаще всего является несовместимость формата и телевизора, поскольку в файлах могут быть запакованы аудиодорожки с нестандартными кодеками для телевизора. Если при имеющейся проблеме данного характера пользователь захочет осуществить воспроизведение какого-либо файла, ему может быть показано уведомление о системном сбое, либо файл все-таки воспроизведется, но не будет звуковой дорожки. Даная проблема имеет два способа решения, первый будет заключаться в конвертации файла в какой-то другой формат, а второй будет подразумевать установку специального плагина на телевизор.

Следует отметить, что, если пользователь захочет осуществить перезапись фильма, ему может понадобиться мощное железо с хорошим процессором и видеокартой. Нужно понимать, что данное процедура также будет затратна по времени. Еще одним вариантом решения данной проблемы может стать установка на устройство приложения SamyGo DCA, которое бесплатно.

Сам процесс установки данного приложения выглядит так:

1. Необходимо извлечь все файлы из архива.
2. Произвести форматирование flash-накопителя в формат FAT32.
3. Загрузка специальной папки на диск
4. Осуществить подключение внешнего диска к телевизионному аппарату при помощи USB-интерфейса.
5. Осуществить перезапуск устройства.

Следует учесть тот момент, что в случае несвоевременного перезапуска устройства может случиться зависание оборудования. Помимо этого, нужно понимать, что перезагрузка телевизора необходима в случае воспроизведения нескольких фильмов одновременно.

Start extensions from patched firmware / from other script

If you have patched your firmware with SamyGO Firmware Patcher than you can start the extensions at boot time, simply add the line

<somedir> differs how you are using the extensions (usb, tv’s internal flash memory, nested into a children/game content)

What you have to do before ask 1000 times answered questions

2. File attributes

   don’t copy/extract the extensions on ntfs formated usb-hd just vfat (fat32)

   keep the execute attributes correct!

   the init-scripts have the execute bit to set, this is already done

   but if you extracted the archive to a NTFS formated usb-hd this setting

   is lost! (tv mounts ntfs with special options)

   so you have to use an usb-pen or reformat your usb-hd with

   vfat before use it.

3. Media file sizes

   upnp (djmount svn version), cifs and nfs, i tested video files up to 8813360067 bytes (h264/720p mkv)

   server software:

   • upnp: ushare 1.1a (DLNA disabled!)
   • cifs: samba-server 3.2.3
   • nfs: kernel level nfs server (nfsd4)

   ff and seek is (over wifi network) tedious, you can play around with mount parameters in:

   SamyGO/etc/init.d/04_04_samba.init

   SamyGO/etc/init.d/03_03_nfsmount.init

   if you can’t access/play your big fat files try to split them, problem is at server side not in «SamyGO Extensions» or TV

4. Subtitles

   tested *.srt files -> no problem over upnp (djmount), cifs and nfs

   naming sheme:

   MyMovie.srt

   MyMovie.wmv

Flashing your modified firmware

This is outlined in your service manual.

1. Make sure your firmware is copied to the root of your FAT32 formatted USB drive.
2. You can reach the software upgrade menu from your remote control: Menu -> Help -> Software Upgrade -> USB
3. You get a pause for 30 secs while your TV searches for a valid firmware.
4. Install your modified firmware.
5. Remember altering your firmware and trying to install it carried risk of permanent damage. Please read the wiki and become acquainted with what you are trying to do.

Using a SamyGO app

If you have flashed the modified firmware or if you have an unrestricted firmware you can start playing and enjoying the SamyGO applications.
There are wiki pages with lists of apps can be found (for series B and C). This pages typically has a brief description of the app functionality, a link to download the file as well as a link to the forum where the develop seeks, feedback, can help with troubleshooting etc. Newer television models have

Depends of you TV model you can run applications using:

Using Internet@TV

Internet@TV (also Samsung Apps) is the name Samsung has given to their latest television appliances which converge the internet and televisions in once device. They are a collection of internet apps which due to their graphical user interface are called widgets. Samsung, in its short-sightedness decided that some of the newer widgets would not be made available to older television model owners. However these older televisions (B-series) can actually run couple of the new widgets included in the C-series. You can install your own widgets by setting up a webserver on your home computer and directing your television to obtain the updated from your computer.

Using Hotel@USB

Hotel mode is a mode for locking down menu access and input selection on the display. It is intended for use in hotels, health clubs, and other environments to restrict guests from changing the displays settings. However entering this mode has been used as a way to work around some of the restrictions that newer firmware releases has caused. This true about the C series televisions. You should refer to the compatibility table to determine if this method applies to your television model.

Below is a first draft of a new version of a comprehensive compatibility table for SamyGO. It is here for evaluation purposes, please feel free to comment on it in the forum. Since this is a still a draft, not all links are there yet, or working. Also probably not all models have been put in yet, and the ones that are there have not yet been completed, I’m still working on it (especially finding the links into the forum pages is a tough job).

The main changes are:

removal of the display type (I think you know what you bought)
Indication of access routes with letters.
combination of a whole bunch of options into a few columns

Oh, and never mind the thin blank lines in the table, they’re just empty table entries.

Note: The SamyGO project is compatible with most of the other LN, LA, UN, or UA model TV’s. We just haven’t tested them yet. No need to get worried about that.

Как смотреть на телевизоре формат MKV

У некоторых пользователей MKV вовсе не воспроизводятся или проигрываются без звука. Решить проблему можно двумя основными способами. Первый заключается в изменении формата видеоролика.

Для перекодирования файла в другой формат нужно использовать специальную программу-конвертер. Однако для конвертации потребуется достаточно производительный компьютер. Преобразование роликов большой длительности может занять немало времени. Конвертировать каждый отдельный видеоролик достаточно неудобно. Более оптимальным вариантом является установка на телевизор специального плагина.

Необходимо воспользоваться специальной программой SamyGO DCA. Ее можно загрузить с официального сайта проекта. Программа распространяется бесплатно. Однако она подходит только для телевизоров Samsung с системой Smart TV.

Приложение отличается простотой в установке и использовании, даже у неопытных пользователей не должно возникнуть сложностей. После его установки появляется возможность просмотра MKV без дополнительных манипуляций. Установка занимает определенное время.

Если программа SamyGO DCA не помогла исправить проблему, возможно аппаратные характеристики телевизора не позволяют проигрывать такие файлы

Обратите внимание на операционную систему, установленную на ТВ (актуально только для устройств со Smart TV). Если это Android TV или Tizen, обычно достаточно установить специальный плеер (MX Player, VLC и т.п.) из магазина приложений

Возможные трудности

Если возникли какие-то серьёзные проблемы с обновлением устройства, установкой приложений или утилит, то можно воспользоваться онлайн-сервисами для конвертации мультимедийных файлов. Один из самых популярных – Cloud Convert. Интерфейс ресурса донельзя прост: выбираем файлы нажав на Select Files, затем в выпадающем контекстном меню напротив видео выбираем необходимый формат и жмём Start Conversion.

Важно! Стоит уточнить, что при использовании подобных сервисов расходуется трафик на закачивание оригинала и скачивание конвертированного файла.

Components, Design and Structure

1. StarterLib

   libSamyGO.so -> starts the extensions from «content library»

2. CoreScript

   rcSGO -> 1. of main start scripts, it try to «find» the extension and creates a working enviroment (this is the only one script you have to call/execute!!! you don’t need to start telnetd and you don’t need mega bytes big busybox copy to /mtd_rwarea)

   etc/rc.sysinit -> 2. of main scripts, it handles the start of the services (init scripts)

3. InitScripts

   see files under etc/init.d/ directory (files with extension .init don’t need any manual configuration, files with extension .dis needs some configuration like password or wlan network name -> see «chang me» section in the scripts. for activation you need also to remove the .dis part of the file suffix)

activates experimental framebuffer access, nothing to configure. (for future usage)

01_05_hiddev.init

activates usb keyboard and mouse support, nothing to configure. (for some content library applications and maybe for some unwritten/unpublished native applications)

02_04_replace_wifi_mod.init.dis

if you like to use non samsung usb wifi dongle, needs configuration and rename it to 02_04_replace_wifi_mod.init

usb gadget. in some cases we need to fake an usb sorage device so media files are accessible from media player, nothing to configure.

Is this stuff compatible with your tv

generaly binaries and kernel modules are for ARM architecture (for most B-series devices you can use T-CHU7DEUC based package)

look at the samsung site, download and extract the firmware for your tv and

check the resulting directory name:

• T-PRLAUS -> binaries may work, kernel modules rather not
• T-AMBAUSC -> binaries may work, kernel modules may also

your tv have to support games in «content library», «usb movie» and for c-series Internet@TV, pls. consult the manual ()

for d-series you need to find a way to start a script at tv boot time, then you can use

• if you use the samygo openembedded svn, this limitations to tv types are never true. you can recompile the whole stuff for your tv. feel free to test it and don’t fear the penguin.

What are «SamyGO Extensions»

«SamyGO Extensions» enhance your tv’s functionality without patching or modify the firmware (for sure it’s true for devices with «content library», on models without you need to make modifications to start the script rcSGO)!

• Access your network shares and network-storage devices (windows shares, nfs, upnp…) as pseudo usb-devices (it is possible to seek and ff in this files + more media container are supported and you don’t need to write your own mount/start scripts)
• It can start automated other applications
• Additional tools for advanced users like gdb, ssh, mksquashfs and checksum-calculator (for sure change from version to version)

Patching Firmware with the SamyGO Firmware Patcher

B-series models (Non CI+) with older firmwares (pre february 2010) have firmware update files which are only trivially encrypted by Samsung and can be modified to allow additional functionality. The SamyGO firmware patch script is based on python a computer programming language and changes some of the startup scripts inside of the firmware. This allows additional functionality in the firmware.
Such functionality includes

1. Applies the AR v1 Fix. This properly resizes the picture proportions n Samsung B series TVs
2. Allows you to increase the size of srt subtitles shown in movie playback and
3. Subtitle color can change as well. SamyGO favorite is yellow, (ARGB code for yellow is: 0xFFFFFF00, for original color: 0xFFF0F0F0)
4. Telnet, can be enabled permanently if you create an advanced startup script.

Почему ТВ не читает файлы MKV

Здесь можно выделить три основные причины: повреждённый файл, устаревшее программное обеспечение и установленные производителем какие-то системные ограничения. Рассмотрим каждую проблему подробнее.

Повреждённый файл

Когда формат MKV не воспроизводится на телевизоре, стоит попробовать запустить его на персональном компьютере. Если и ПК не смог его прочитать, то вполне возможно, что файл повреждён. Скачанные с интернета фильмы могут быть некорректно запакованы.

Верный способ исключить эту проблему – найти другое, а лучше несколько коротких видео формата MKV и попробовать открыть их на ТВ. С неправильно запакованным файлом, увы, ничего сделать нельзя – только удалить.

Системные ограничения

Возможно, что формат MKV на телевизоре не читается из-за установленных производителем ограничений. Как правило, это размер файла. К примеру, штатный проигрыватель телевизоров «Филипс» не может воспроизводить файлы свыше 1,5 Гб. Некоторые устройства Samsung прошлых поколений также ограничены по объёму и не проигрывают видео больше 2,1 Гб. Единственный выход – перекодировать файл в меньший с потерей качества.

Устаревшее ПО

Если телевизор не читает MKV-формат, то виной тому может быть устаревшая версия прошивки. Последняя как раз и содержит кодеки, необходимые для воспроизведения различного мультимедийного контента. Обновить ПО можно своими силами без привлечения сторонних специалистов. Телевизор должен быть подключён к сети.

Обновление прошивки через интернет:

1. Открываем «Настройки Smart TV».
2. Переходим в раздел «Поддержка».
3. Находим строку «Обновление ПО».
4. Выбираем «Обновление по Wi-Fi».
5. Соглашаемся с лицензиаром и дожидаемся окончания процесса.
6. Перезагружаем ТВ.

Также можно обновить ПО через флешку. Это более трудоёмкая процедура, но за неимением подключения к Интернету – единственно возможная. Для этого понадобится флешка объёмом больше 1 Гб и ПК с доступом в сеть.

Обновление прошивки через USB-накопитель:

Важно! У некоторых моделей пункты меню отличаются от указанных. К примеру, у доброй половины телевизоров LG пункт «Обновление ПО» имеет название «Прошивка» и вынесен в основное меню.

ScreenCap

It allows to capture screen contents (whole screen or on-screen graphics only) to BMP or PNG file in a specified location. For use press PRE_CH and then one of bellowed.

To use original PRE_CH function, press it once more.
Default settings are read from file named screencap.ini. You can edit this file. INI file is read only once, at first use.

Tested Matrix

These TV models and related versions have been explicitly tested. Here you can find only A and B series TV.

Reverting back to unrestricted firmware

Loading third party software has been limited with the latest versions of restricted firmware. If you are in the lucky group of television owners with unrestricted firmware then you can skip this section, you are in luck and can stop worrying about firmware restrictions! If your are in the unlucky group of restricted firmware (usually any firmware after dated updated in 2010) then you must revert back to an unrestricted firmware first prior running any SamyGO applications on your TV. Developers at SamyGO have made this a fairly simple process by using a script that automates this process. A list of supported television models and detailed instructions can be found here. Please review all this in detail prior to proceeding with any modifications or running any scripts.

Если вышеописанные методы не помогли, то стоит обратиться за помощью к сторонним утилитам и приложениям. Здесь можно пойти двумя путями. Установить приложение, которое позволяет смотреть формат MKV на телевизоре, либо полностью перекодировать файл.

SamyGO DCA

Это практически единственное универсальное приложение, работающее без сбоев на доброй половине современных телевизоров со Smart-TV. Для установки программы потребуется дистрибутив SamyGO (можно скачать на официальном сайте или с 4PDA) и USB-накопитель.

Важно! Флешка обязательно должна быть отформатирована под систему FAT32. В противном случае приложение начнёт выдавать ошибки.. Установка SamyGO:

Установка SamyGO:

1. Копируем дистрибутив приложения на флешку. При необходимости распаковываем архив.
2. В корневом каталоге USB-накопителя должна оказаться папка samygodca с содержимым.
3. Подключаем флешку к телевизору и устанавливаем программу как обычное игровое приложение. В некоторых случаях потребуется ручная установка: перемещаем файлы в папку «Игра» раздела Content Library.
4. Перезагружаем телевизор.

Воспроизведение видео с помощью программы:

1. Подключаем к устройству съёмный диск с файлом формата MKV.
2. Перезагружаем телевизор.
3. Переходим в библиотеку загруженных приложений.
4. Находим приложение SamyGO и запускаем его.
5. Закрываем все окна и открываем штатный плеер телевизора.
6. Воспроизводим видео MKV.

Важно! Программу придётся запускать после каждой перезагрузки (выключения) телевизора.

Format Factory

Среди прочих утилит для ПК – это один из лучших конвертеров. Программа проста, универсальна и отличается интуитивно понятным интерфейсом. Скачать её можно как с официального сайта разработчика, так и со специализированных веб-ресурсов.

Конвертирование видео в другой формат:

1. Запускаем программу и в левой части панели кликаем на ярлыке «-> AVI» или «-> МР4» (какой именно формат файлов воспроизводит штатный плеер телевизора, уточняем в инструкции по эксплуатации).
2. В появившемся окне нажимаем на «Добавить файл».
3. Выбираем на компьютере видео формата MKV и жмём «Открыть», затем ОК.
4. Далее кликаем по кнопке «Старт» и дожидаемся окончания процесса.

Программа также позволяет настроить качество видео на выходе, уменьшив или увеличив размер конечного файла.

The Samsung TV model can be broken down like so:

An example, the UN55B8500 is an 8 series (500 variant) 55″ LED TV in North America from 2009.

So typically, the firmware modifications here should work on TVs of the same type, year, and series.

The 14 digit model code structure is listed here for your reference. New is the “H” Year
